Windows

Windows 10 or 11, 64-bit

  • Your browser will warn that the file is “not commonly downloaded”, and Windows may show a blue SmartScreen notice. That is expected — choose “Keep” and then “More info → Run anyway”. These warnings appear for every new publisher until enough people have installed the app.
  • The installer sets up Microsoft Edge WebView2 if your PC does not already have it, so keep an internet connection during installation. Windows 11 includes it already, and most Windows 10 machines received it with Edge.
  • Nothing else to install — the database is built into the app.

macOS

macOS 11 Big Sur or later — Apple Silicon (M1 and newer)

  • Apple Silicon only. Intel Macs are not supported in this release.
  • Open the .dmg and drag Silsila into your Applications folder.
  • Nothing else to install — the database is built into the app, and macOS already provides everything else it needs.

Updates are automatic

Silsila checks for a new version each time you open it and asks before installing. Your data stays exactly where it is — updates replace the application, never your records.
